Search for missing eight-year-old

An eight-year-old boy who went missing from his home in Derbyshire for almost 16 hours has been found safe and well, police said. There was so much speculation going on about the where abouts of the boy - some people were imagining he has wandered off in to the wooods and is lost; some other people were saying he has run away.

Jacob Walthall, from Somercotes, sparked a search after going missing from the Quarry Road area of the town at about 1630 GMT on Sunday. A Derbyshire Police spokeswoman said officers had searched for him throughout the night. He returned to his home shortly after 0800 GMT, the spokeswoman said.
